The Enneagram of Personality is a methodology listing personality into nine types and descriptions. The nine pointed enneagram symbol represents nine distinct strategies for relating to the self, others, and the world. The enneagram accurately and clearly describes why you think, feel, and behave in particular ways based upon your core fears and core desires.

Type 2 on the enneagram is called “The Giver”. Twos are people who see the world through relationships and define themselves by their service to others. They excel at making connections and empathizing with the needs and feelings of others. Twos strive to make the world a more loving place, primarily by offering support and attention to those they care about.

In many ways the best characteristics of a type 2 feed in to “the why” of nonprofit work. Thus, the name M2 Philanthropy was born getting straight to the heart of our mission, vision, and values.

Our owner and founder also happens to be a type 2.
